Alison Dodd - Hairstylist
Alison’s professional edge is creating funky and creative new looks through cut and colour, especially in shorter styles. She loves helping her clients step out into the look they’ve always wanted but have been afraid to try!
Alison was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. She completed her cosmetology training at Richard’s Beauty College in June 2009 and immediately began working at Shear Escape. Alison completed The Associate program under her mentor Candyce Bakke and has been working hard ever since. Alison truly loves her craft and is constantly updating her skills. She has attended many Redken cut and colour classes including the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, a Sam Villa cutting class at the Redken Exchange in Toronto, The Pathway to Profit in Calgary, and just recently has taken a Dale Carnegie Leadership course to improve her human relations skills and become a more confident leader. As well, Alison received her Journeyperson’s certificate in 2010. This year Alison also participated on the Committee for Saskatchewan Fashion Week, coordinating and creatively directing hair. She also styled hair for the event and was the Key Stylist for one of four fashion shows during the event, creating her very own look for the models to walk the runway.
Hair is definitely Alison’s main love, but she also love music! She has been singing and playing the piano since a very young age and continues to do it in her spare time. Another hobby of hers is fitness. She teaches group fitness classes at Gold’s Gym to help her stay in shape.
Alison is very committed to her career and loves working with her dedicated team of co-workers at Shear Escape. She can’t wait to see what it has in store for her in the future.
